The RAT Beach Bike Tour will have a Metric Quarter Century ride (15.5 miles), a Metric Half Century ride (31 miles), and a full Metric Century ride (62 miles).
The Metric Quarter Century (15.5 miles) leaves RAT Beach at 10am and goes north through the beach cities, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach to the turn around point in El Porto (North Manhattan Beach) then back to RAT Beach via the beach bike path and strand. Back at RAT Beach there will be a marvelous lunch served by In-N-Out Burger. You can view the Metric Quarter Century route and elevation profile at “Elevation Profile Image."
The Metric Half Century (31 miles) leaves RAT Beach at 9am and will visit all the Beach Cities from Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Marina Del Rey, and Westchester — so more beach and more tan. Then back to RAT Beach for a terrific lunch served by In-N-Out Burger. You can view the Metric Half Century route and elevation profile at “Elevation Profile Image."
The third ride will be a full Metric Century (62 miles). This ride leaves RAT Beach at 7am and will visit all the Beach Cities: Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Marina Del Rey, Westchester, Lomita, San Pedro, and Palos Verdes — so even more beach and more tan. Then back to RAT Beach for a terrific lunch served by In-N-Out Burger. You can view the Metric Century route and elevation profile at “Elevation Profile Image."
All three rides go through the Redondo Pier area. There is an area where you must walk your bike approximately 200 feet across the actual pier between the bike path and the parking structure. There is a Redondo Beach Police Sub-Station right above this walking area and if you ride you will be cited.
