The Scott Newman Center was founded in 1980 following the tragic overdose death of Scott Newman, son of the late actor Paul Newman. The Scott Newman Center is dedicated to the prevention of substance abuse and domestic violence through education. Through research The Scott Newman Center has developed innovative drug prevention materials and projects for families, schools and communities. Sixteen years ago the Center refocused its mission and created The Rowdy Ridge Gang Camp, a nationally accredited and powerful life-transforming program of excellence to help families, mothers and their children, whose lives have been painfully harmed by substance abuse and domestic violence.
